Our History
Hallmark Tool & Gage Co., Inc. of Wixom, MI, a manufacturer of Gages, Fixtures, Machine Tools and Precision Machining, and its affiliate, HTG Fabrications & Assemblies, LLC was relocated in 2004 to a new and larger facility in Wixom, MI. The new plant’s location at 51200 Pontiac Trail was originally 21760 sq. ft. with 6 acres of land giving us the ability to expand in the future.
Hallmark Tool & Gage Co. services many customers in a variety of fields from the military, automotive, aircraft, and industrial machine tool builders throughout the United States. Our products can be found in use all over the world in countries in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and South & Central America and we are ISO 9001: 2008 compliant. The products and services we perform contribute to the manufacturing of many different products for commercial and industrial use, as well as in the defense of our country.
The company is coming up on its 40 year anniversary in April of 2020 and is looking forward to the continuing growth it has enjoyed over the past 38 years.
Hallmark Tool & Gage was founded in 1980 by its original owner as primarily a small gage and fixture manufacturer with 6 employees. In 1990 George Richards purchased the company and moved it to Wixom, MI, where the company continued its growth. In 1992 Georges’ son, Scott Richards, joined the company making it the family business. After 11 years of growth at the Liberty Drive address, it moved to the new and current location, mentioned above. Here, the company took a new direction away from the small gage and fixture market to the larger machine tool market, focusing on CNC, while also expanding its affiliate, HTG Fabrications & Assemblies, metal fabrication business. Both companies have experienced a tremendous amount of growth while expanding the business to over 45,000 sq. ft. with more than 40 employees and combined revenues of 10 Million annually.
